HOW WE FIT PERSONAL ACCESS DOORs TO 10FT CONTAINERs
Each 10ft shipping container with personal access door container is prepared to suit the customer's requirements. We can start with either a used or new shipping container, depending on the condition, finish and budget you're looking for.
1 — SELECT THE CONTAINER
We start by selecting a suitable new or used shipping container based on your requirements.
2 — CUT THE OPENING
The position of the personal access door is determined and the required section is carefully cut from the container wall.
3 — FABRICATE & WELD THE FRAME
A steel frame is fabricated to suit the opening and welded into the container. The frame is fully welded into position to create a strong, professionally finished opening for the new door.
4 — FIT THE ACCESS DOOR
The personal access door is fitted into the prepared frame and checked for correct operation and fit. Depending on your requirements and the container layout, the door can be configured to open inwards or outwards and hinged from the left or right.
5 — PREPARE & PAINT
Once fabrication is complete, the container is prepared by sanding out any rust and undercoating before being painted to the customer’s requirements. A range of colours is available with most popular choices being Woodland Grey and Monument.
