There are different ways we can supply a 10ft shipping container with original cargo doors. We generally keep a small number in stock, however many are made to order, particularly if you are looking for a specific colour, condition or finish.
1.CUT DOWN FROM A USED SHIPPING CONTAINER
Our most popular option is to produce a 10ft container from a larger used shipping container.
We start by selecting a suitable used container and retaining the original cargo door end. The container is then cut down to approximately 10ft and a new end wall and supporting frame are fabricated and fully welded into position. The original double cargo doors, locking rods and door seals are retained.
For customers looking for the most economical option, the container can be supplied in its existing finish without being repainted. As these are used containers, the original paintwork may show signs of previous use including dents, marks, surface wear and colour variations.
Alternatively, the container can be prepared and repainted in your choice of colour, giving it a fresh new look. The locking rods are normally painted along with the container. For an additional fee, the rods can be removed before painting and refitted afterwards to retain their original look.
2 — CUT DOWN FROM A NEW SHIPPING CONTAINER
For customers wanting a 10ft container in better overall condition, we can also produce one from a new shipping container. The process is similar to our used option. We retain the original cargo door end, cut the container down to approximately 10ft and fabricate and weld in a new end wall and supporting frame.
As the container is new, it can be left in its original finish, giving you a 10ft container with minimal marks or wear. Alternatively, we can prepare and repaint the container in your choice of colour.
3 - New One Trip 10ft Shipping Containers
New one trip 10ft shipping containers are another option, although they are not as readily available as our cut down containers.These units are manufactured overseas as 10ft containers and transported to Australia joined together for shipping, similar to a 20ft container. Once they arrive at our depot, the two 10ft units are separated and ready for use.
As one trip containers, they are in excellent overall condition with minimal handling marks and come complete with original cargo doors and a lock box for additional security. They are generally available in limited colours, however, we can repaint the container in your preferred colour if required. Availability can vary, so please check with us if you're specifically looking for this option.

ORIGINAL CARGO DOORS & SECURITY

For customers wanting additional security, a lock box can be welded over the locking point of the doors. The steel enclosure helps protect the padlock and makes it more difficult to access with cutting or tampering tools.
